DCET - Engineering Data Analysis
This is an introductory course in statistics designed to provide students with the basic concepts of data analysis and statistical computing. Topics covered include basic descriptive measures, measures of association, probability theory, confidence intervals, and hypothesis testing. The main objective is to provide students with pragmatic tools for assessing statistical claims and conducting their own statistical analyses.

2. Analyze Rizal's various works, particularly the novel's Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo
3. Organize Rizal's ideas into various themes

Basic Occupational Safety and Health
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) concepts, principles and practices, determination of existing and potential safety and health hazards; identification of control measures provisions of Philippine laws that refer to occupational safety and health.
Chemistry for Engineers
This course provides
students with core concepts of chemistry that are important in the practice of
engineering profession.
ICT Fundamentals
This course covers the introduction to the fundamentals of computer system (hardware & software), computer history timeline, its impact to society together with the type of information that they are able to deal with, how binary (machine language – low level language) converted to human language (high level language), basic Microsoft Offices(Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and how to navigate the internet and email usage with the use of internet browsers(Firefox, Google Chrome, etc.,).
Purposive Communication
Purposive Communication is a three-unit course that develops students' communicative competence and enhances their cultural and intercultural awareness through multimodal tasks that provide them opportunities for communicating effectively and appropriately to a multicultural audience in a local or global context.
It equips students with tools for critical evaluation of a variety of texts and focuses on the power of language and the impact of images to emphasize the importance of conveying messages responsibly. The knowledge, skills, and insights that students gain from this course may be used in their other academic endeavors, their chosen disciplines, and their future careers as they compose and produce relevant oral, written, audio-visual and/or web-based output for various purposes.
The Life and Works of Jose Rizal
As mandated by Republic Act 1425, this course covers the life and works of the country's national hero, Jose Rizal. Among the topics covered are Rizal's biography and his writings, particularly the novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, some of his essays, and various correspondences.
At the end of the course, students should be able to:
1. Discuss Jose Rizal's life within the context of 19th century Philippines
2. Analyze Rizal's various works, particularly the novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo
3. Organize Rizal's ideas into various themes
4. Demonstrate a critical reading of primary sources
5. Interpret the values that can be derived from studying Rizal's life and works
6. Display an appreciation for education and love of country
Calculus
An introductory course covering the core concepts of limit, continuity and differentiability of functions involving one or more variables. This also includes the application of differential calculations in solving problems on optimization, rates of change, related rates, tangents and normals, and approximations and partial differentiation.
