The course covers the knowledge, skills and attitude in the practice and
maintenance of occupational health and safety procedures and the provision of
safe environment. This course covers on how to control hazards and to maintain
safety as well as the use of protective devices.

WELDING METALLURGY
This course provides the student to identify metals on their physical,
mechanical, and chemical properties. This includes the knowledge on crystalline
structures of metals, phase
transformation and allotropic transformation of metals. It also covers heat
treatment of metals principles such as normalizing, quenching, annealing,
hardening, and tempering of metals.

BENCHWORK AND CUTTING PROCESS
This course covers knowledge, skills and attitudes in performing bench work activities such as the proper use
of different kinds of hand tools in cutting, drilling, filing, threading, lay
outing and marking, bending, punching, shaping, grinding and finishing. This
also includes the proper procedure in setting up and operating different
cutting processes using arc and gas cutting equipment
